Fruit Love Island has introduced a total of 20 characters so far, with a mix of original islanders, bombshells, and Casa Amor arrivals. Out of these, one is the host, Kiwanda, and 3 have been dumped or left the villa, not including Pinapina who was dumped in episode 4 but later returned as a Casa Amor bombshell. The other 17 are still in the villa, with new characters continuing to be introduced as the series goes on.
One thing the show makes clear is that no two characters are the same fruit, with the only exception being Kiwilo and Kiwanda, who are both kiwis, but Kiwanda is the host so she is not technically an islander.
There has also been discussion around how some characters look alike, with viewers saying Bluebella and Grapenzo look like siblings. Fans have also pointed out that Watermelina and Strawberina look very similar, even though they are different fruits. With Casa Amor now underway, there are 7 new bombshells as well as Pinapina returning as the 8th, meaning the total cast is still growing and bringing in new drama and storylines.

Cherrita is a cherry introduced in episode 1 who appears in episodes 1, 2, and 4-12. She is first coupled with Grapenzo before later moving to Orangelo, where things start getting more serious as she opens up about her personal life, including the fact that she is a mom.
One of her biggest moments is in episode 5 when she tells Orangelo she is a mom, leading to the “mommy / mamacita” moment. This is a direct reference to Love Island USA season 7, where Huda tells Nick she is a mom and he responds with “mamacita,” which went viral. Mangella is a mango introduced in episode 1 who appears in episodes 1–14, 16–19, and 21. She says she is a clothes designer and has one of the main storylines in the villa, mostly through her relationship with Kiwilo, which has ups and downs from early on.
Her relationship with Kiwilo gets messy around episodes 3 to 7 when he starts exploring other options, especially with Strawberina, which leads to arguments and her telling him not to lead her on. They go back and forth for a while but eventually reconnect, and after the hideaway in episode 17 they become official.
She is also involved in a lot of drama, especially with Strawberina, and gets called out during Movie Night in episode 11 for talking badly about Cherrita. Kiwilo is a kiwi introduced in episode 1 who appears in episodes 1, 3, 4–11, 13–20, and 22. He says he works in hospitality and has one of the main storylines in the villa through his relationship with Mangella, although it is not smooth from the start.
His relationship with Mangella gets messy early on, especially in episodes 3 to 7 when he explores things with Strawberina, saying he wants to keep his options open.
